My name is Kristy Roulston, born and raised in Auckland, and now calling Wellington my home for the last 12 years.  I'm a very proud mum to 3 amazing children.  When i'm not photographing, you can find me in the garden attempting to grow vegetables, sewing my own dresses, crafting and spending time with my family.  I also enjoy participating in and supporting pinup events and exploring op shops for hidden treasures for my photoshoots.

When I qualified as a hairstylist and makeup artist from WELTEC in 2017, I wanted to be able to offer a one stop shop for hairstyling, makeup and photography.  Finally in 2021

I was able to start putting that vision into place, and enrolled in Southern Institute of Technology, completing my Diploma in Photography in 2025.

I'm proud to say I have established a thriving business, running a pop up photography studio at my home in Upper Hutt, and also offering sessions out on location.  I have won awards for my photography at the NZIPP Iris Awards, as well as winning Hairstylist and Makeup Artist of the Year for 2023 and 2025 at the NZ Wedding Industry Awards .

 

My speciality is pinup and vintage style portraits, however I have experience in weddings, birthing/first 48, documentary, events and family photography.

I have always been a very creative and arty person, so often i'm designing and making props for photography sessions .  I will help bring your vision to life!​​​​
